The third floor of my parents' house (where I still live and will live for about another year) was never finished, so it's been an ongoing project for the past few years. I was meant to move up there after coming home after college...three years ago. (They have a lot of other projects to work on at the same time.)
The above sketch shows the basic room layout (up is basically north) and lists the names of the colors I used. I wanted lots of colors, and this combination includes many of my favorites. After it was painted, I realized that it looks very Mexican: bright and rich.
It's nearly finished. All that remains is the floor and moldings. These photos show the old hardwood, which will soon be covered with carpet.
I'm excited to have lots of space for living, reading and making art. More photos to come.
