Yes, this is me, though I look like a little boy. (I had no hair until I was 2 and I wore my brother's hand-me-down clothes. Can you blame well-meaning strangers for their assumptions?)
I actually do remember being thrown in the air by my dad, though I can't recall a specific instance or time. I had never seen this photo until last year, when my uncle made me a DVD of my graduation ceremony and included some photos of me growing up.
It's amazing how much a child trusts its parents. I don't think it ever occurred to me to worry that Dad would drop me (and he never did...that I can recall). Worry, like ears and noses, continues to grow as people age.
Ah, for the simplicity of childhood.
