Last Saturday Wes and I drove out to the North Platte River where it begins to flow through Fremont Canyon. It was a warm, breezy day and it felt great to be outside tramping around in the dry grass and scrambling around in the rocky canyon. It even felt great to yell and pound my chest like Tarzan, then look down to see two fishermen by the river. I waved. They might have been afraid.
Early this afternoon I was out running errands and decided it was too beautiful not to play disc golf. It was 60 and hardly windy. Perfect. So I convinced Wes to go and we finished the full 18 holes just before the wind picked up. I even kind of kicked his butt for a while. And then he remembered what to do, and I got tired.
The weather people are predicting 10 to 15 inches of snow on Monday, but I'm not sure I believe that. Anyway, it will be colder and windier. I'm just glad I've properly enjoyed these nice Saturdays. If I'm feeling up for it tonight I might even go dance with the elder folk.
looks lovely. someday, I'll find time to go visit.
